Symbols

In addition to the use of imagery in Jain temples the Jains also recognise a Universal Jain symbol. It represents a range of themes including the attainment of spiritual liberation, the motion of the universe where spirit and matter interact in our earthly existence, and the ‘ahimsa’ the Jain aim to live through the cycles of life in a non-violent manner.
